Adventure and Fun with St Joseph's

Despite the weather the children bravely face the difficulties of the new Timber Trail which was completed in January. Situated at the end of the playground this challenging play apparatus extends the activities for the children in an exciting but safe environment.
The project, which was partly funded by the Friends of St. Joseph’s, was overseen by the School Council. The children were keen to ensure that it blended in well with the rural image of the school and caused minimal damage to the surrounding trees.
The final phase of the development is to replant the area with grass, wild flowers and more trees.

St. Joseph's Fun4Kids

September 2007 saw the launch of St. Joseph's Fun4Kids.
St. Joseph's Fun4Kids provides Breakfast Club from 8.00 a.m. and After School Care until 5.45 p.m. thus ensuring that if you have to go out to work your child is cared for in a safe, fun and educationally stimulating environment for the full day.

ActiveMark

Last academic year saw St. Joseph's collect two nationally recognised awards.
ActiveMark is awarded to schools which provide a wide variety of Sporting Opportunities both as part of the school day and after school and attract a large number of pupils to participate.

National Healthy Schools Award

National Healthy Schools Award is for the overall work of school in providing Health Education and a healthy environment and not simply the Healthy Food that has been such a new item over the past year.
At St. Joseph's Health Education is an integral part of our science programme. Through this we encourage sport and a healthy diet. We ensure that the dinners and snacks provided throughout the school are good and wholesome as well as tasty.
